Our home setting is a semi-detached property in a small, quiet residential area of Kidderminster, Worcestershire. We are situated in a semi rural area surrounded by fields, countryside and incredible views. Our home is a spacious, splitlevel house on five floors; our home has been adapted to be child friendly and a safe environment for children to be.
Our main aim is to understand and accommodate your requirements and to meet your child’s individual needs. We offer care and attention to ensure that you feel secure in the knowledge that your child is cared for in safe and enjoyable surroundings.
We pride ourselves on delivering the best possible care and learning environment for your child and strive to create independent and confident learners. They will flourish in our loving home-from-home environment that encourages exploration and investigation through play. We hope to offer children a continuity of care as close to their home environment as possible. We would like children in our care to feel “part of the family” and thus feel valued as a family member.
The ethos behind our childminding setting is to offer children and their families a family orientated/homelike and friendly, loving, child friendly, happy, fun, clean, safe and secure, comfortable learning environment, in which young minds reach their full potential and where children are encouraged to be imaginative and independent and where they are nurtured, cared for and genuinely loved and everyone feels valued.

We aim to provide a high quality, caring environment where standards are high, independence can be developed and where there is a wealth of play, learning activities, experiences and opportunities, both structured and flexible to meet a child’s individual needs and enrich a child’s development and potential during a child’s first journey in life and help children to achieve their goals and promote their self-esteem.

Exploration, investigation and imagination
Our home based setting environment is cosy, stimulating and child friendly it is a real family home full of fun and laughter and a natural environment where children and babies can relax and feel comfortable. Our four walls are never quiet and ring to the sound of laughter and chatter with all the small people here.
Our playroom is large and contains a multitude of resources andequipment. Our outdoor environment is secure well equipped with many different resources which can be accessed easily. The children will also have lots of experiences and opportunities to be involved in our local community like school runs, park, play areas, forests, forest school, 10.32 Wyre Forest Early Years Centre’s, toddler groups, and Wyre Forest Childminding Group. The resources and equipment we provide has been carefully chosen to ensure that they are of the highest quality
Different resources and equipment are on offer at different times for the children to investigate, explore and develop sensory awareness. We offer a wide range of experiences and opportunities like sand, water, messy play activities, craft activities, and painting to help stimulate their creativity and develop independence. We enjoy stories, rhymes and songs in many different ways and times in our setting. We use different toys and equipment to enhance tactile and visual stimulation, and my environment is designed to encourage physical skills such as crawling, sitting, standing and walking. The babies and children in my care are introduced to discovery play through every day activities and experiences.
