We enjoy regular trips and outings to local parks, forest areas, farms, play areas, community & learning facilities and local attractions.
We are regular visitors to Bodenham Arboretum, which has it’s own on-site forest school, which consists of a small, and larger forest area. There is also a conservation area for the children to explore. Forest School uses the outdoor environment to develop children’s learning. The adults facilitate learning and are able to observe development during the sessions. Forest school encourages independence, improves decision-making skills, allows children to make choices, be independent and build on self-esteem. The children have a lot of fun exploring and getting messy. Find out more about Forest School at Bodenham Arboretum by clicking here.
During school holidays we also plan different day trips that take into account the ages and stages of development of the children.
